2) Partner Chat: For questions about specific apps or services, leverage AppExchange Chat on select partner listings. Available on 100+ listings and counting, Partner Chat puts you in touch with a partner expert who knows their app or service inside and out.



How AppExchange Chat Works

If you’ve used instant messaging with family or friends, you’ll feel at home with AppExchange Chat. Here’s how it works. 


  1. Head to the AppExchange homepage, or find a Chat-enabled listing that interests you.
  2. At the bottom of the page, click the chat icon. 
  3. Click the button to start a chat. 
  4. That’s it! AppExchange Chat will attempt to connect you with an expert. If the expert is unavailable, you’ll have a chance to schedule a live meeting.


Tip: Prefer voice calls over chat? No problem! While chatting with an expert, click the phone icon at the top of the chat window to continue the conversation using a voice over internet protocol (VoIP) connection.

How do I know if AppExchange Chat is available on a listing?

Look for a chat icon on the listing tile. The icon indicates that AppExchange Chat is available and there’s an expert ready to answer your questions.

Who’s on the other end of my AppExchange Chat conversation?

For Homepage Chat, you’re talking to an AppExchange expert at Salesforce. You can connect with us from 9 AM to 5 PM CST on weekdays. For Partner Chat, during business hours, you’re talking to a live partner expert. If it’s after-hours or the expert is away, you’ll be assisted by a helpful chatbot. The chatbot can answer many common questions and set up a live meeting with an expert.


Do I need to log in to AppExchange to use AppExchange Chat?

No, you can use AppExchange Chat without logging in.
