Additional Details
The VolunteerMatters Salesforce Integration connector provides seamless, bi-directional syncing of volunteer contact data between VolunteerMatters (VM) and Salesforce. When a contact is created or updated in VM, webhooks trigger updates or new records in Salesforce using configurable filters. Updates to linked contacts in either system sync automatically to maintain data consistency. Matching uses VolunteerMatters IDs (explicit) or business rules (implicit) with fields like email, name, and phone. If multiple matches exist, optional criteria or default rules ensure accurate linking. Automated mapping in Salesforce prioritizes criteria to prevent duplicates. Field mapping is fully configurable for both creation and updates. This rules-driven sync delivers clean, consistent records and reduces manual data entry. Example: A VM contact with the same email and first name, but a different last name (e.g., after marriage) will still be matched and linked automatically.
