Very useful and easy to set-up
This is one of the best "related files list" custom component I've found in SF (already tested about 10). I love its simplicity, user-friendly layout, and ability to create custom filters + control what file types are considered - fantastic idea. However, with all good sides there is one bad that is a killer for my company - it does not display files related to email messages, so if you are Email-to-Case org, this app will not suit you. I am really hoping this will change with time! Still, I am giving it five stars for what it does.
Best FILE MANAGER you can find for SF
This solution is exactly what I was looking for. It’s an intelligent file manager that allows you to download one or multiple files with a single click. It also lets you select files based on their extension and either export them (essentially download them to your PC) or even delete them. As a suggestion for improvement, I think it would be very useful if the tool allowed you to define which extensions should be grouped. For example, if you don’t work much with .doc files but frequently use AutoCAD files (such as DWG, DXF, or similar), it would be great to configure those preferences so the button could quickly filter DWG or DXF-type files. I’ll be keeping an eye out to see if this enhancement is implemented. Thank you very much for the great work on such a complete and helpful tool.
Thank you so much for your continued feedback and support! I'm excited to share that we've just released version 1.4 of our File Manager, and it includes improvements based on suggestions like yours. 1. Admins can now set a maximum height for the File Manager component on the Lightning page using Lightning App Builder. You can set the height from 200 to 2000 pixels. 2. Admins can customize the filter property on the Lightning page using Lightning App Builder. So, you can create a CAD Filter with dwg extensions (or any custom extension you need). I hope you're satisfied with these new features and look forward to hearing your feedback!
Dear Seira and the Newbrick team, First of all, I would like to thank you for your prompt reply and kindness. I am very happy that you take user feedback into consideration to improve your tool, as I also believe that this is the best way to keep things moving in the right direction. Following my previous comment, I would also like to suggest that, when adding this solution to our SF pages, it would be wonderful if the kit allowed admins to set a maximum tool height. As it is now, the solution adapts automatically to the number of files you have on that object, and if you have 50+ files, it becomes too large. I would propose having the option to limit it to a certain number of pixels and add a scroll bar. That way, the appearance of the pages remains consistent, and the rest of the tools below the FileManager do not get hidden by the large number of files that may be stored. Once again, even as it is now, it is a great tool, and I will definitely recommend it.
We’ve just installed the latest update of your development in our company, and we’re absolutely delighted with the results. It does exactly what we were looking for, and it is now perfectly suited to our use case. We want to express our sincere gratitude to your development team for the kindness and proactivity they’ve shown throughout the process. If at any point we come up with new ideas or suggestions to further improve the tool, we will be sure to share them with you through this channel. Thank you once again for your excellent work!
