Powerful, Simple, Modern, Mobile Friendly Learning Management System with strong integrations.
Skilljar is a powerful, simple, modern, mobile friendly Learning Management System. It's well suited for organizations that are delivering customer-facing for-fee training and is one of the only systems we could find that supported selling an all-you-can-eat subscription to our online learning content. Importantly, it integrates extremely nicely with all of our enterprise tools including Okta (which allows our employees to use SSO to sign in), Marketo (for proactively marketing to our students), Influitive (for gamification), Salesforce.com, and WebEx (for virtual classroom). All of this said, Skilljar is a small, young company and you may not find all of the bells and whistles you might find in a more mature Learning Management System. But they are extremely responsive and open to suggestions. Many of our feature requests were turned around within weeks of raising them. From a Salesforce.com perspective, they provide a native Salesforce "app" that automates movement of information from Skilljar about students and course progress into custom Salesforce.com objects. It was easy to install and get running. One area for improvement is connecting the dots between "students" and "contacts" and finally to "accounts" - some of the new "contacts" get created without an association to "account" so we have to manually connect them after the fact. This is likely to be a common problem for other clients as typically your learners are not in Salesforce.com as contacts - so they are "net new". In summary, a good partner to have if you are trying to build a successful training business! Our employees and customers love it.
Thanks for the helpful review! I've been looking for info on whether the custom Students object is/could be connected to Contacts --> Accounts. This sounds like a "yes" or "yes, but..." depending on circumstances. How's that going for you after several months?
