It happens all the time. Someone makes a change to a workflow or validation rule that causes a unit test to fail. But nobody realizes it until much later - when someone tries to deploy a change-set and discovers that it won't deploy. Next thing know, everyone is in a panic and who gets blamed? The admin who made the original change, who had no idea it could cause a problem! Apex Test Tracker helps solve this problem. It periodically runs all organization unit tests and when it sees a test fail that was previously passing, it performs a set of tasks that you define - usually an Email notification. With Apex Test Tracker you can be proactive and detect problematic organization changes before they become a crisis. The Apex Test Tracker app can also serve as a lightweight continuous integration tool for developers and development teams.
