**Ignore**

Ignore below. Works great. Wish free version was more apparent in subscription management. **Works great the little bit I have played around with it. However, I am looking for something to be a small time solution that will be used 1x2 times a month to replace some manual processes, as such the paid versions are not of interest to my org. A limited freeware would be ideal and that appears to be what is advertised here and on the xappex site. However, after downloading and getting set up, it is only a ~30 day trial. Given the functionality, this is not wholly surprising its a good app. Just unfortunate and needlessly obfuscated.**

Hi Cody, The trial has the full functionality of the paid version of XL-Connector, however, after the trial expires – it reverts to the free version with functionality as advertised (ability to pull and refresh unlimited reports and SOQL queries).

Excellent Package - I use it every day

As an Admin trying to keep data clean and complete I use this tool at least every day. If you want to be able to do mass data download and upload supported by the power of Excel then this is a must. The downside of this awesome power is that you need to keep it away from your users! :-)

Great I am looking for same, Is this Free or just trail version is free?

Recommended. Versus the Excel built-in connector, this tool can pull just the records you need.

This tool has made it very easy for me to develop worksheets that are customized for my end users. The ability to use spreadsheet cells and lists as the filter for the data I want is invaluable. Thank you for this utility.

Hi, would this app work for the following case? I am looking for an app that allows a Salesforce record to show a template sheet (Google or Excel), and the user can edit this sheet online, within the page record (as a component), then it can be saved and linked to that record. So any other user can access that record and see the edited version of the sheet template. We use Sheets for calculations and I thought it would be easier if we can use them within Salesforce and have every sheet linked with its own related record.

The tool is really Good but it's not consider user authorization

The tool is really Good but it's not consider user authorization. Any user can insert, update records on SF database. If there is roles it will be great!

Thank you for your review Mai! If you don't want your users to be able to Insert or Update records in salesforce – you'll need to provide them with the Team Player edition of the software. It limits access to these functions. As for the roles, they are already available in Salesforce, so there's no need to duplicate that on the API level. Salesforce security controls in conjunction with different editions of XL-Connector can deal with any security scenario.

Works only partly

Is not updating as I expected, e.g. showing IDs instead of Names. It is somehow working but not really easy.

Hi Edith, I'm sorry that you misunderstood how Salesforce data pulls work, but if you wrote to us instead of leaving a negative review, we would gladly explain to you how to get the data that you need, whether its record Ids or Names. We are always happy to help our free users as much as our paid subscribers.

The free version doesn't work anymore

They cut the free version down to pulling up to 2000 records for a report, which makes it worthless for my needs, and the paid version is very overpriced if you just are pulling reports.

Just a heads up that we've removed the 2000 records per report limitation in our free version

Dave, If you only need to pull and refresh reports – you can get the Team Player license, which is only $99/year.

Best Excel Tool Ever

My client reporting that used to take more than 15 minutes to run and format is now done in 1-2 minutes.

Excellent

We use it for updating and adding thousands of records everyday . The way it works is transparent since the connection and synchronization with SF is almost automatic. You only have to use Excel. No need to export to CSV to populate into SF, everything is done within Excel and the best: after populating the data into SF a message is written in every line to let you know the process result. The best tool to manage data into and from Salesforce.

Hi. We use this also and will be transitioning to lighting this weekend. Can you let me know if you are on lightning? Thank you!

Amazing Tool for Admins and Business Users alike

This tool is great. It´s easy to use and provides all necessary features for your data manipulation needs. Even Business Users feel confident using it.

populating new fields

This tool has proven invaluable for this solo admin as she populates new fields for salesforce users on historical records. I have to do this often and there is no, more straightforward way I have found to do this; and with multiple objects! Very, very pleased.
