As an admin, you need to be the first one to know the status of scheduled jobs. Did they complete successfully? Are there any errors and, if so, what were they? Don't be caught off guard if something goes wrong. If there are problems, DLRunner gives you the information that you need to get things going again. If you are using Data Loader now, you know that one of the things that it does very well is generate a lot of files that all look the same. DLRunner organizes & archives all of those files automatically for you, making it easier to go back & find a specific file from any job. Also...you're an admin and you have important admin stuff to do. You don't have time to email users extract files on a daily bases. So, let DLRunner do it automatically for you! If you have already set up and are running Data Loader in command line mode, congratulations! Compared to that, setting up DLRunner will be a snap! You will not have to change anything about your current command line Data Loader configuration. Once DLRunner is installed and configured, it works with your existing set up.
