Have used inbox every day for 3 years

My favorite feature is seeing when people open my emails so that I can connect with them just in time. Also love the "send later" functions, and the mobile app!

expensive

The app is expensive given that the free alternative Lightning for Outlook can perform the major chunk of the job except availabilities, read receipts which I dont know how many people find extremely useful

Great idea, poor execution

We have been using Inbox for a while now and it is crazy to me that this is a Salesforce product, because there are a lot of caveats that they fail to disclose until you've purchased and used it. I love the idea and functionality, it just doesn't actually work for our Salesforce instance. Most of our company is on the Lightning version, but because not everything works right in Lightning, some of our users still have to jump back into Classic. In Classic, none of the Inbox stuff can be seen, and in Lightning, you don't necessarily see everything that was archived in Classic. It is crazy scary to rely on this tool when making sales calls - cause you could very easily be missing some key conversation that happened. Pros: Automatically logs emails and events Cons: It only works in Lightning - if any user is in Classic, you can't see the stuff Inbox archives. For this to work, everyone in your organization has to have Inbox installed, and everyone has to be in Lightning.

David - yours is the newest post so I am reaching out to you for opinion. We purchased Inbox for our sales team no issues with phones but our email platform is hosted not on Microsoft exchange. After the purchase we found it will not work on desktop or PC has to be G-Suite or Microsoft Exchange. I am considering moving over to Microsoft but reading reviews not sure its worth effort and expense. This is a Salesforce product not an outside app. I can not seem to get help from SF its almost like an afterthought in the company with few knowing about it. The pro's are great but the Con's can take you down a worm hole of time and expense it seems. Thoughts ?

Love it!

I use Inbox everyday and it's essential to my workflow. Email read receipts are a must, and I use Insert Availability all the time. I'm looking forward to see what else Salesforce adds to Inbox.

Not bad, but can do better

Useful, but other apps from independent editors do better. Guys make it better please! What I need: To be able to fill up all the fields without opening sf in new tab. To be able to fill up automatically more fields (like domain names by default it could be the last part of the email)...etc...it is already working for first and last name. Give a a couple of lines from social networks so I could see immediately who sends me an email without any click (size of the company, position of the person, etc...) thx

Cannot get product to work. Zero support from Salesforce to get it working. No Calendar Sync.

Pulled my hair out trying to get this product to work. I've administered CRMs for years, so I'm not new to this. Installation of package via Exchange 365 was easy, however, the product is loaded with bugs and doesn't load properly. Spent hours tweaking settings in CRM and Outlook to get it to work but to no avail. Wasted time waiting for Salesforce to reach out, and they never did, save for the automated ticket response. This is a SalesForce endorsed product with (6) mostly bad reviews. That should tell you what you need to know. We will be asking for a refund, but expect Salesforce will just ignore the complaint until we go away. They know once you make the annual payment you're stuck. Great model if you want to produce unhappy customers.

No Two-Way Sync with Google Calendar

I absolutely understand that what I'm asking for would be a luxury but IQ Inbox's competitors do offer this functionality so I'm not sure why IQ Inbox hasn't caught up. The functionality I'm needing is this: To be able to sync two ways with Google Calendar...meaning if an event originates in Salesforce or Google Cal, it syncs seamlessly in both and updates in both sections as well. The email functionality is fine...although the third party contact sources still show me as a Sales Person in Raleigh Durham, North Carolina (I'm a Director of Operations in Austin, Texas).

Of note, apparently this functionality is on the roadmap. Still a bit perplexing that this did not come on the initial launch as Cirrus Insight has always had it.

No Service & Support

We paid for an annual subscription and have been asking this company countless times for some support in setting up. Got auto replies but no follow ups. We have since and await back a full refund.

Easy, sleek, efficient

I avoided logging emails into Salesforce at all costs. It was a pain to toggle back and forth between windows, find the lead/contact record, then create an email log. But SalesforceIQ Inbox makes it so easy to track emails in Salesforce. Just one click and my email is logged on the record of my choice, no toggling back and forth. I also love the capability to insert calendar availabilities into my emails. The UI is sleek and unobtrusive. We use Gmail through Google Chrome and it's fantastic.

Moving from Google Chrome to Microsoft Exchange is a bust with SalesforceIQ

The set up and ease of use with the Chrome plug in was a breeze. We can't use SalesforceIQ on our Desktop version of Outlook (not in a way that makes it worth bothering) and 365 does not recognize the AddIn for some reason and it isn't "Microsoft Store" approve. What a cluster. I am losing time and money trying to get the team back up and running.
