Dynamic Approval Routing

Dynamic Approval Routing automates an opportunity discount approval process in which the approvers are based on the opportunity owner’s region and the account type associated with the opportunity. The process routes opportunity records through three levels of approval. In previous Salesforce releases, implementing this solution for an organization with two account types and three regions would require six separate approval processes: one for each combination of region and account type. Such an approach would be easy to manage with limited account types and regions, but if the account types increased to ten and the regions increased to five, the number of approval processes required would jump to fifty. Now this solution can implemented with a single approval process that uses routing rules stored in a custom object to dynamically determine where to route approval requests.
