Attain hit it out of the park. They made impressive and specific promises about staying under budget and meeting an aggressive timeline, and delivered on those promises. They were experts in the 3rd-party products we needed, and advocated successfully on our behalf with those vendors. While we were very pleased with the implementation process of the main managed package, implementation of other supporting processes/resources like CRM Analytics, Formstack and Salesforce Maps was not as well planned or executed.

Attain Partners worked with the university through many challenges on this project including decentralized decision making authority across admissions, student success, marketing, and information technology teams. The project management and change management leads at Attain were flexible and adaptive to the shared governance structure, requirements that fluctuated throughout the build phase, and ultimately was able to shepherd the overall project to successful completion. Both admissions and student success Education Cloud solutions launched and are being expanded by university executive leadership and adopted by operational teams.

Our partner, Attain, was a superb choice for our project. The staff assigned to our project were top notch senior level consultants. The project management was on point, meeting weekly on project health, managing risks, and reviewing the project spend. The overall project came in under budget (wow, when has anyone said THAT?) There were a few staffing changes in one of our work streams, but they were able to transition new staff in quickly, and we did not lose continuity, nor did we bear the cost of those changes. They clearly documented the solution design, data architecture, and a configuration map we will use as a sort of runbook that is a living document for us to use and maintain going forward. They created documentation for our users, and provided training to both our end users and our technical staff as well. We are currently in post launch support, with a very small number of issues open to resolve, most are items which are related to data anomalies, or minor changes in the way we expect a function to perform (like filtering views based on context). Like any sizable project, we hit a bump or two, but Attain was right at our side, giving us advice on best practices if it were a process related issue, and on any complex technical integration issues, they rolled up their sleeves and worked side-by-side with our experts. Attain also assisted us in recommending some product add-ons, which allows our customers to better self-serve. This was a pain point for us they heard in our requirements gathering and they definitely delivered, brokering the demos, and training with the additional product. Overall, our project was very successful, we are currently planning a second phase, and we feel that we have gained a great partner for the future.

All of the Attain team members performed at a high level not only technically but also in communication skills, handling sensitive conversations excellently, finding the right balance between "the customer is always right" and "the customer needs us to be the experts in the room."
