Setup with custom objects

It was easy enough to connect Timer to a custom object. Create a lookup field on the Timed Items object to the custom object, then customize the button code following the setup directions.

Great app, hope to see continued support!

We were able to deploy and customize this app in a fairly fast timeline and it has met our needs just perfectly! I'm only giving it a four star rating and not five stars because it appears American Data Company has been either acquired or re-branded to a new name, and the company says there are not currently any plans to continue maintaining this app, which is a shame!

Good app, exactly what we were looking for

Provides us the functionality to track time accurately, and have a history. Great App.

Cannot make it work...

I suppose it´s a good app. But I cannot make it work. Sugestion to improve the instalation guide Include some samples. Specially for cases.

Exactly What We Needed!

Being able to track time within a specific record for us is crucial and this app knocked that wall down for us. The customization of this app to fit your company's needs is another big plus. Customer Service, impeccable. Highly recommended!

I've been looking for this

Glad to find this - we wanted to start having our implementations folks use cases on Opportunities to track the time they spend doing the implementations as well as supporting the clients. I have a couple of suggestions: I added look-up fields to Contact and Opportunity and sure would like to have those fields on the Timer Screen as opposed to on the Page Layout of the Timed Item. This would save steps. as it is now, they close the Timer and then have to find the Timed Item and update it there, which means, it probably will not happen..... Also, I do not see a Save button on the Timer although the documentation has one in the screen shots. Ideally, there would be a Save and a Save & Close button. Great work for the price!

Can you please email support@americandata.com with the following information: - Your salesforce edition - Object used as the parent of the time entry (this is Case by default but can be any standard or custom object) - URL of the button you configured to open the timer window - URL generated by Salesforce in the address bar of the timer window Thanks.

Good, free functionality

This is a good app that is easy to integrate with various components of Salesforce, including Cases, Accounts, and Contacts. It provides a good functionality that Salesforce is lacking, allowing multiple periods of time to be logged to a single record, either by entering the time directly or using a timer to track how much time is spent. The only thing lacking is a way to total the amount of time outside of a report. As a free app, this is an essential addition to Salesforce for anyone who needs to track hours.
