We chose webMethods, because we needed a way to connect to SAP without adding ABAP code to SAP. The webMethods adapter connected to SAP with configuration changes through SAP logical systems, not custom code. But, the integration itself is entirely custom--and we could build the integration of our ERP system to Salesforce the way we wanted it.
