Successful Event with Auctions and Click and Pledge!

I joined our team with the main purpose of helping The Nobelity Project to transition from several programs into salesforce. We were using Greater Giving for our annual gala, but it didn't integrate with Salesforce very smoothly, nor did the payment processor work well. There is so much documentation for this app, as well as for Click and Pledge and the integration between the two. We had a few hiccups getting it set up, especially setting up the embedded virtual terminal, but between C&P support and the community in the Power of Us Hub, we got it figured out. This FREE app has saved us so much money, which we are able to put to good use as a non-profit. It's people like David Habib who really have what's best for everyone in mind. We cannot thank him enough for developing this app.

Guest Check In

For some reason, the Auctions App keeps 'losing' the check-in data. The same happened last year too. We'd check in all the auction guests and then the next day most of them would've been defaulted to the not checked in status. We use this data to see how many ticket people who purchased a ticket don't show up. Any help?

Not a Smooth Transition from Spreadsheets

This was my first year using Auctions for Salesforce. 1. My main comment is the need to add new contacts. When a Table Captain is paying for a table of guests I needed to go back in PM and create new contacts if a guest did not already have a relationship with our theatre. It would be helpful to add contacts on the fly. 2. I found it difficult to track individual auction donations before they were upgraded to auction items. I do like the fact that all auction activity is integrated into permanent record for the contact and account in PM.

Great product!

Very easy to use and navigate. Helps to manage all aspects of an auction. Only question, how do you edit the "Dear ," section within the receipt? Otherwise, everything has been great!

Helpful workflows

Has great workflow help, but alot of the workflow is because the design is so cumbersome. We have not used in an auction yet, but have used other software and this isn't very GUI friendly.

Keep Your Auction Data in Salesforce with Auctions for Salesforce!

I've been helping a local nonprofit with their Salesforce implementation for several years, and encouraged them to use Auctions for Salesforce. The first year was one of those "import only" from the prior year - and every year since then, David has made the tool better, and my nonprofit has been using it more effectively. It's easy to use - and while you COULD use it only as an after the fact tool - you shouldn't. You should use it to its full extent: Create a list of those you think might donate items. When they do, turn those items into auction items (inlcudinng nifty features such as turning a case of wine into individual items and so on). And meanwhile, invite people to attend. You can assign a bid number, a ticket price, can keep track of fair market value, can print an auction booklet, can integrate payment systems. But wait! There's more! Auctions for Salesforce makes it easy to print receipts, to track winning and losing bids, and to create reports about your auction. So next year - you know which people attended and didn't bid. Or which table captains were most effective. And I've just scratched the feature surface here - it does so much more! And the best part? It is right there with the rest of your constituent information. So you can tell if your auction attendees support your agency with other giving or volunteering. All right in Salesforce. On top of that - Auctions for Salesforce continues to add features to make your auction organizing easier. I recommend it highly.

LOVE this App!

We are just 10 days away from our 2nd large event using Auctions for SalesForce and I could not be more confident or relaxed. Our first experience using this application at our Golf Tournament last September was wonderful! Our guests could not stop gushing about how organized we were and how speedy our check in and check out lines were.... little did they know it was all due to the Auctions App. It includes every aspect that we have been running manually at our past events, AND it all feeds directly into SF! What a huge time saver! We will be using it for every auction event we hold. Thank you David and team!!!

Successful Event using Auctions for Salesforce and payment processor BRICKWORK (IATS)

Moving from Excel spreadsheets to electronic processing is no easy task, especially for the older generation, but being able to use Auctions and BRICKWORK within Salesforce at no cost (except of course for CC transaction fees), made it all worthwhile. What a great option for nonprofits! BRICKWORK is completely integrated with the Auctions app and was surprisingly easy and clean to use. Our only problems were due to user errors resulting from very little time to train the data entry volunteers (not the fault of the apps used). Auctions for Salesforce allowed the Auction team to record Auction Ticket Purchases, track donated items, prepare Auction Item Descriptions and Bid Sheets, including Donor Recognition Information, enter winning bid purchases the night of the event, record payment and print Receipts. I´ve been watching this app for some time and I´ve seen how it has improved with each version, and certainly the payment processor option is a huge advantage. Our team is excited to use Auctions for our next event. Groundwire is also more than happy to receive input from nonprofits in order to make adjustments where needed. We, for instance, would like a more intuitive approach to taking reservations (before ticket purchases), building tables, etc. And though the User Guide is good, there still is a bit of a learning curve with this app. Thank you Groundwire for developing and continuing to improve Auctions for Salesforce. Awesome Auction App

This application is great for organizing and keeping track of everything that goes into an auction. The only complaint I have is the editability of fields since it's a managed package. I spoke with somebody at Groundwire about this and he encouraged me to write an email to suggest it for the next upgrade. Also, make sure to read the installation guide very thoroughly before installing, or you will more than likely have to uninstall and do it again! Minor issues though, for such a great application.

Complicated

This app was way more detailed than I needed. It has some great features, but a little too complex. I would like to be able to use it without an auction event creating 5 more campaigns! I tried to uninstall, but it won't let me.
