Additional Details
Chatter Blacklist allows organizations to add a series of words, phrases, or custom expressions to a blacklist---a list of words which are disallowed by company policies or compliance rules. Such words may include swear words, racist statements, sexist remarks, "Just installed Chatter" messages, SSNs & more. Chatter Blacklist can also be used to prevent the "I just installed..." messages but adding the phrase "just installed chatter for" & checking "prevent post on breach", or using the new custom expression function, you can block patterns such as SSN, emails etc. Words or phrases added to the blacklist will be automatically checked whenever a user posts via Chatter with the offending words scrubbed from the post with the option of an admin being notified of the breach of conduct. In addition, posts with offending words can be prevented from being posted entirely. How do I get started? Using Chatter Blacklist is easy, simply navigate to the Blacklisted Words tab, add a word, phrase, or custom expression & save the record. Watch the tutorial video on the apps "About" tab once you install. Want to know more? Follow Quinton Wall on Twitter @quintonwall
