Great data visualization and analysis capabilities
Tableau is a good solution that offers users the ability to analyse their data in depth, easily discovering valuable data and critical information. My experience in Tableau was in connection with Salesforce. On the Salesforce info portal SFApps.info I've written a full Tableau app review. In case of doubt, this can be useful. What I Liked: • User-Friendly Interface • Data analysis : The integration with Salesforce allows for in-depth data analysis, providing valuable insights that drive informed decisions. • Powerful visualisation Areas for improvement: Pricing structure: the cost may be prohibitive for small organizations or budgets. Data preparation: Better data preparation tools would improve its ability to handle cases of data disputes. Beginner-Friendly Resources: More resources for beginners would reduce the learning curve and improve accessibility.
Best App for Data Analytics
Tableau allow for users to understand the Data and Analytics in a easy manner.
Best for Data Analytics
Everyone can understand their data and Analytics easily using Tableau. This is great one.
Tableau is awesome, I love it. It's expensive. Is it really a SALESFORCE APP though?
This does not belong here. It's not a Salesforce app though you can link to Salesforce data from it. Salesforce Apps should be limited to applications that install directly into Salesforce.

Patrick - aren't you a Tableau employee?

Yes Chad, you are right -- the code does not get sucked in and "installed" into your SFDC instance like some of the native apps or plug-ins can. And you are probably right on the AppExchange categories, if they expanded those it would make it easier to filter and find apps for what users are looking for. Glad to hear you are using Tableau -- it's an amazing application that's actually fun to use!
Patrick, thanks for your response. Perhaps what I meant is that the appexchange needs more categories. Native or Installed apps and support apps. I use Tableau daily so I'm not trying to come down on Tableau itself, more the structure of and content of the "app exchange". I'm going to update my rating because it's not really fair to Tableau that I think the appexchange needs work.

Chad, hundreds of apps on the SFDC AppExchange (in fact, most of the apps) are not "native" SFDC apps... that is they were not coded in force.com. But they have gone thru SFDC's very rigorous ISV program & analysis to be listed here... which is a very thorough examination of the apps, architecture and most importantly the security scans of code, etc. to ensure they are not rogue apps. More importantly for users, Tableau dashboards can be embedded inside your SFDC apps either as their own Tabs or inside Related Lists (e.g., spend history or AR still due on an Account page). This can be a simple iFrame or can leverage SFDC's Canvas API to connect the context in SFDC with that in Tableau (e.g., the Tableau viz knows what Acct or Oppty record you are on). Make sense? And by the way, it's not expensive relative to traditional BI or even other newer BI alternatives. Gartner's customers rated it the highest value & ROI received from any BI tool and it wasn't even close. Further, Tableau offers the best of both worlds for aggregated BI -- either SaaS or On-premise (which is most often a requirement of data marts aggregated from multiple sources besides just SFDC -- e.g., Marketo, Eloqua, HR apps, Financials, Supply Chain, eCommerce, web site click streams, etc.). Hope this helps...
Amazing visualizations and analytics!
The speed to access meaningful visuals is off the charts. Analytics made easy, data made intelligent!

The lack of meaningful reviews is concerning.

Yes, glad to answer any questions you may have. Also former SFDC for 4.5 years. Love the SFDC platform too.
