Fonteva Event Review

We have used fonteva events on our conference website and it has been a great help for us. Now members and companies can directly see all the details like agenda, attendees list, pricing structure, exhibitors details and booth setup and just one place.

Under the hood has got to be the worst code

recursion galore! fonteva code got in our way at every step. Not only that if you are happy to accept insecure, then go for it. Support is out of the question. ability to add it to your existing stack, well that's the main reason it is flawed. beyond that the idea of it is great! just a shame they do not have the technical knowledge. implement it in isolation and do not go outside their setup and you'll be fine. My Advice: get a good dev and build event management yourself it will mean less pain. then all you need is a payment gateway solution to back into your experience cloud and you are away.

Bad Product, Bad service

The app exchange package is only one part of Fonteva's full package. The rest is on their AWS cloud that they require you to maintain an API to without access to said cloud or what data/metadata they are pushing/pulling through said API. The application itself is clumsy and only works in very specific scenarios. It is nearly impossible to make a change as everything is locked in managed packages and require custom work from Fonteva devs. Removing it is even worse. Over 20 managed packages all interconnected. I've removed simpler ransomware.

Easy to manage organization events with Fonteva

Fonteva Events have evolved a lot over the last several years. The focus has clearly been about improving the customer's experience while granting the backend user advanced components in developing their events.

Good tool to use

Flexibility without the cost of custom

My company has used Fonteva Events for over 6 years. They make it easy to build event and registration web pages. We have tried a lot of different pricing models for our events over the past 2 years and Fonteva has been able to accommodate all of them.

Great Tool for a Variety of Event Types

Managing small Committee meetings or multi-day conferences with Fonteva Events provides easy management and a lot of tools to enhance the member experience. It is easy to gather and process a lot of data on your attendees, but also show off your company brand with personalized event pages.

Great tool providing integration with our Members

Fonteva Events has give us the ability to quickly and easily setup new events and integrate with our association members. This allows us to offer member only pricing and increasing the value of our memberships. It also allows our team to track our attendees and guest attendees become new leads for memberships. It's been a great tool to be able to setup a website and providing venue information, agenda and session registration and more!

Buggy software, incorrect or missing product and technical documentation, poor integration with NPSP

We have been using Fonteva for almost two years and consistently have issues with product bugs, incorrect or missing product and technical documentation, poor end user experience and checkout flow, and very poor integration with NPSP. It took us almost a year to get the product up and running and have invested hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars on internal implementation costs and outside consultants.

Good platform that needs to be fit with right use cases

Fonteva Events App is a technically sound events platform but it needs to be aligned / fit with the right use cases otherwise it can become messy!
