Need to grant users edit access to all contacts
This app writes to a field on the Contact record. If your security model does not allow edit access to all records then you will not be able to save connections. I created a permission set for a limited group to try it out. We would need to change our security settings to allow everyone edit access all the contacts in our org to make this useful.
Does not work!
have not had any luck to get the VF component piece to work. it looks cool and fit use case perfectly... but after clicking through I know So&So and following the graphic no connection is actually made. I can make a connection in the related list but that is it! Any advice?
Another Great App. from our Salesforce Lab Team
Real nice app, very easy to install and has a very nice user interface. Users will like to use this package instead of posting into chatter they know this person. Very good programming on SF part putting this app together. Good presentation documentation and installation docs.
Nice and simple, would be nice for leads
I like this app, it's simple to implement and to maintain. Very nice to use if you don't have 10k+ contacts. I'd like to have this for the leads (right now limited to contacts and accounts) to get a better chance for an introduction.
Wow! Connectthedots is awesome!
I really like connectthedots and can absolutely see the benefit in leveraging your own colleagues relationships to build trust and close more deals. I especially see the benefit for larger companies where employees do not always know each other personally and see each other everyday but can still work as a team using connectthedots. I also really liked the video and it seems easy to use.
Great idea
The idea behind the app is great: It offers a handy way to track relationships with contacts. We will see how it turns out in real life, whether people will adapt to use it or not. The installation is quite easy and straight forward. Great app. Thanks for putting this together!
I am unable to get the VF part to work.... i can definitely create a CTD record manually but when i click I know the person, it does not get saved! help
