New to the Sage product

Having worked in Finance for many years, this has been my first introduction to Sage in this format. Whist simple in its everyday use and presentation, there is great complexity underlying it. Our Sage Success Coach, Helder, has been a tremendous help in understanding the product, troubleshooting issues, and coaching me through best practice. I've been most impressed with the level of support given - thank you for all of your help Helder.

Being a new user on Sage Financials, I found the idea of the implemation very daunting, but Helder has been an absolute star. He has coached us and been very patient. We are coming to the end of the implementation now, and within the next couple of weeks, we will be up and running. Thank you Helder.

We are currently in the process of implementing Sage Financials, it has / is pretty intense as we have never used SAGE before. However, Helder has helped us on our way and is getting us up and running. Thank you Helder, you are great !

Continual Improvement

We have been very impressed with how Sage Financials has continued to evolve and develop at a rapid pace. Whilst initial implementation wasn't particularly straightforward, it has been incredibly encouraging to see the dedication of the development team; there is a sense that Sage Financials has the potential to become something special. Our implementation coach Helder Vilas has been fantastic throughout and is always on hand to offer assistance as and when required. We look forward to what Sage Financials can continue to offer us into the future.

It's Come a Long Way

I have been working with Sage as an SI partner since January 2017. As well as helping clients with it, I also run my own business on it and I can tell you, "It's come a long way". With the latest v90 release bringing the bank reconciliation in line with most other accounting packages, I can strongly recommend it for more sophisticated and larger businesses who have outgrown Sage 50 or Xero and are moving to the Cloud as well as needing more insightful management information. If you are a Salesforce devotee, it is really a no-brainer. The accounting 101's are now covered except for stock. There are some add-ons for this, but I have never used them. There are a suite of different reporting tools for different types of information, which is initially a bit confusing, but makes sense. The "Brucy-Bonus" is Einstein Analytics which is bundled in with the package for free. This is typically selling at around £1,000 per license with a minimum of 10, so is really good value and can be used outside of Sage. So, if you are mult-company, multi-dimension or multi-currency and especially if you are or plan to be a Saleforce user, you should really give Sage Financials a long hard look.

Why Sage Financials are our key business partner

We are an NPO and we absolutely love Sage Financials. Financials has revolutionised our financial processes, enabled real time reporting, and providing geographical mobility across multiple devices. With a readily configured NPO platform, Financials has proven the optimum solution that enables and facilitates our organisational management and growth. Regular new releases build on a wealth of development and functionality far beyond that available in generic accounting systems. Segmental and dashboard reporting enabled through Sage dimensions provides access to multi dimensional analysis for almost every information inquiry imaginable. All at the touch of a button. Our most recent developments include automated purchase invoice entry, using AI functionality, to sales invoices created on multiple accounts through cloning, automatically emailed to the relevant account contacts, payable through a payment link on the invoice PDF, with that payment automatically posted back to the invoice and bank. True automation. Sage support is efficient and responsive. Any cases lodged, which as often as not are my misunderstanding rather than system issues, have been answered and resoled expediently. Helder Vilas Boas, our Sage coach, has been pivotal in making this happen, providing valuable and critical support and enabling us to get to where we need to be. Our implementation has been a stage by stage process, getting the basics in place and building on each success. Through his coaching methods, his patience, and by guiding us through configuration, online resources, transactional operations, partner apps, reporting, and the unlimited possibilities in information segmentation, he really has transformed not only the way we work, but the window of potential within the organisation, freeing limited resource for strategic focus. Helder truly is a partner to our business. When I have a bad word to say, I’ll update this review, but for the time being, true genius!

Sage Business Cloud Financials

I am implementing SAGE Business Cloud for my company now. Couching sessions with Helder Vilas are being very important to understand how the software works. In my opinion, the software could be improved with more functionalities. For example, I think it would be important to add some loan management and amortization/depreciation management. The good think is that the software can be customised and Helder is helping me a lot here. I am getting happier with the software as long as I work more with it. I will keep learning because, it takes time to understand it and get use to it.

SAGE Business Cloud Financials I have been using SAGE Business Cloud Financials for about 10 months now. I have found it very good. Does the basics well but does the added value, reporting level even better. Helder has been excellent at solving any problems i encountered.

Worst Support EVER

I have had SAGE for two years now and have never been able to use it and to compound things their Apex code and pieces cause conflicts in other areas of our system. Figuring out how to log a SAGE ticket is not easy and when you do they tell you it is not their problem even though the error is clearly telling you it is a SAGE Apex trigger. I had to get SF support to tell me it isn't a SF problem and in fact a SAGE problem before they would even escalate the ticket. I recently had more problems with simple things like logging activities and get zero response from support or my account exec. I just got a bill for renew and made the decision to pull the plug. It killed me to uninstall (I am an eternal optimist hoping I could make it work for us) but my system was locked up and my staff couldn't get key activities done. I would strongly suggest looking at other software before jumping into this one.

Coaching sessions are key

We are currently implementing Sage Financials for several companies. SAGE Financials operates from the Cloud which is a big advantage. Being able to standardise everything across companies is very useful. This is quite a technical product but with good investment at the implementation stage it becomes user friendly. I feel that SAGE still needs to work on some areas but clearly there is heavy investment in feature improvements and the support teams are very keen to get customer feedback to continue making improvements. Using a coaching plan is key, Helder Vilas Boas has indepth knowlege of this product and has been a fantastic resource, showing us the various features available and guiding us on which ones to use. I would concur with other reviews by saying don't enter into this lightly, set aside time to implement it properly and investment in proper coaching and advice.
