At OsgoodePD at York University, we partnered with Cloudstarter to modernize a highly manual course enrolment and academic planning process within Salesforce that required significant staff time and created confusion for students navigating degree requirements. Matt and his team brought deep expertise in higher-education workflows and Salesforce solution design, translating complex graduate-level academic rules into an intuitive Enrolment and Planning Tool. The solution integrates enrolment eligibility, prerequisite validation, degree progression tracking, waitlist functionality, phased enrolment controls, and reporting that enables targeted student communications. As a result, a process that previously required several staff members working over multiple weeks to process more than 1,000 enrolment requests can now be completed by a single staff member in a few days, significantly improving operational efficiency and reducing processing time by the equivalent of multiple staff-weeks. Students now have clear visibility into their degree progress and can request only courses for which they are eligible, reducing errors and administrative follow-up. Overall, Cloudstarter delivered measurable efficiency gains, improved student experience, and stronger data-driven enrolment management within Salesforce.
