The consulting team is a good mix of business-level, project management, and technical staff. I appreciated the high level of focus, thoughtfulness, and attention in both the requirements gathering and solution development phases. At no point did I feel like we had the B team. We have a very complicated org, and a big thrust of the project was to simplify and streamline the data model. Taking on this specific type of task requires a lot of understanding of both the business and current processes, to which the team dedicated a lot of effort. In the end, this was largely accomplished but we sufffered a little bit form "forest for the trees". Meaning there were still some key top-level objectives that aren't completely supported by the detailed design decisions, even if each individual decision is "right". Don't let this particular criticism hold you back from using this team -- I've never had a more successful engagement with consultants in any capacity or regarding any other system or large-effort project.
