Data migration from IQ to SF Pro
We recently moved from SalesforceIQ to Salesforce Pro. My rep informed me that I would need to massage our data in IQ so that it would transfer properly. After making some changes and reviewing it, we were ready to go. Our rep did tell us that we could not transfer tasks, however, I dont know why. That feature is critical for our account managers. It was not available for CSV either. I was given a trial cloud account, which had to be enterprise for some reason. It would have been nice to have the pro edition that we signed up for, however, it did not cause issues when transferring the data. What did cause issues was the fact that the accounts stopped and started on the same day. The reason this is an issue is that the SF cloud owner becomes the person who does the transfer, not the actual owner in SF IQ. It took a little time to figure out how to change the owners of the accounts and leads. The opportunities were easy, I could filter by the SF IQ owner. Set my list view to be the SF IQ owner and the SF cloud owner and change them one by one. It wasnt to bad, there is probably a better way though some mapping in cloud, but I did not find that yet and needed to get the team back to work ASAP. The leads owner was more challenging because the help articles pointed to something that was only available in the classic view but did not say that I needed to be in classic view. Once I figured it out, I was able to change the leads owner, however, it was not very intuitive.
