flow action does not work
flow action for sending SMS messages does not work. first of all there is no documentation that mentions i need to set up my auth provider and named credential with a particular name for the package to work. but secondly i cannot send sms messages at all, as my flow receives an MSG-242 error every single time even though the from number is registered with our TCR campaign. extremely frustrating and disappointing after such a huge feature was added. i have spent half a day trying to troubleshoot and get what should have been an out of the box feature to work right. and of course because its a managed package, i cant see the code or endpoints to try to determine what might be the issue. absolutely ridiculous.
Salesforce works
It's the only CRM I have used/ will continue to use - everything integrates, and the salesforce tech team is great with any hiccups that come up.
Great tool to make daily tasks easier
I see in the other reviews that as usual, reviews are left only when things are bad. So, the app works great. It integrates with Salesforce perfectly and logs calls with clients which means there is one less thing to do. Additionally there is a details section where you can summarize the call with the client so there is a track record of the conversation. It finds client by their name or phone number and you can call directly from there. The app allows to have internal contacts and call their extensiones. Also there is a workspace that allows you to organize your tasks in different folders, track what is due and what was completed etc. It's simple to instal and use.
Great When it Works though Don't Expect it to Work Often
Before going into the negatives (there are many of them), I do want to acknowledge some positives. Namely: * Setup is relatively easy and straightforward * UI is simple and intuitive * The data written on task objects is insightful - inbound vs outbound, call time, number dialed, link to voice recording, etc. However, this does not make up for the following: * Absolutely TERRIBLE customer support. When I submit tickets to RingCentral they are closed automatically because I'm told to reach out to Avaya instead. When I reach out to Avaya, I'm told it's a RingCentral issue. When I finally get ahold of someone, the rep is often clueless and often insists the issue is with Salesforce. Support also refuses to go past their standard "did you update the application?" and "is the visualforce page correct?" until you've pretty much verified it with them over the phone, wasting valuable time. Answering these questions in your initial ticket submission does nothing, they don't seem to read what you write. * I put this in the headline but when the system works, it's great. However, as many have already pointed out, there are numerous bugs which plague the system on a near daily basis. This includes poor call quality, discrepancies in the time recorded in RingCentral vs Salesforce, and the inability for my users to end calls or utilize the number pad for call trees. This often leads to my users jumping through hoops to get the application to work or abandoning it altogether. I would recommend staying away from this company both for the sake of your users and for yourself. Spare yourself the trouble of getting caught between your very upset end users and utterly incompetent support.
Support is difficult to get a hold of.
I've had a user request a field to be made available on the Ring Central call logging app in Salesforce. I've followed the steps from the help article and visited the AdminUI in Visualforce Pages. When I select the “Client” field to be made available it doesn’t appear on the call logging app and I was hoping for some assistance. I tried to log a case on the website and it seems to be broken/glitchy. I called someone at the number provided on the website and they told me to send an email to integrationsupport@ringcentral.com - that was 2 weeks ago and I still haven't heard a response. Their web chat is frustrating and not helpful. I'm seriously considering convincing my company to use another app. Our Salesforce AE suggested Voice.
Stay far from them
Frankly, I'm appalled that I can't even assign negative stars for this debacle. The integration is a joke; it simply doesn't work as intended. Support is utterly dismal, seeming to get a kick out of removing functionalities only to dangle them back in front of you for additional costs through a multitude of subscription tiers. Support staff's knowledge is laughably poor, and the online chat is nothing short of a nightmare. You'll find yourself parroting the same question ad nauseam before you're finally thrown a bone and transferred to a real person, who will almost certainly be clueless about your issues. The integration? A complete disaster. You can be logged in, but the call recording will likely be botched. The time discrepancy between the actual call and what's shown on the RingCentral portal is just the icing on the cake. And don't even get me started on how calls don't link to the contact or account record if you dare to place a call without being logged into Salesforce. Steer clear of this mess if you have any regard for your sanity and time.
Ring Central Integration with Sales force
Ring central integrated to sales force works excellent in being able to click a no. in a dashboard of leads or accounts that launches the ring central app and dials the number by itself. The call can be configured to log itself in the lead section. But to get to a point where everything works to the expectation right after installing Ring central in Sales Force (production) which is the easiest part, is infact a struggle at Sales Force. It was a cake walk to install ring central in Sales Force production from ring central desktop app., but after that to get the installed ring central working was hell of a job trying to figure how to get the stuff working..
RingCentral
RingCentral with salesforce is a win win for any company. It help streamline our contact process allowing for simplicity within the business.
Great App that helped us get smarter
RingCentral is very easy to install and has allowed our employees to be much more productive and work smarter. I should also appreciate their support team on their prompt support.
Ease of Use
I had an opportunity to review the RingCentral for Salesforce app. RingCentral has done a fantastic job focusing on ease of use to make and receive calls inside Salesforce. The CTI interface automatically saves calls and texts to Salesforce Accounts, Leads, and Contacts and ensures visibility for all activity with customers and prospects. A much-needed functionality.
Have to agree with this feedback....... it is not easy at all
