It will certainly help if before going into discovery that you have clear objectives on what you want the solution to look like and how you will be using it on a day to day basis. We were happy with our decision to partner with Time Technology as the migration involved a lot of poor formatting and bad data, which our developer assisted in sorting and cleaning.

Time Technology were really helpful in understanding our requirements for storing and reporting on survey data within Salesforce. This led to quite a lot of custom development, and integrating unique features which required a bit of thinking to make things work in the way we wanted. We worked with Richard, who was really fantastic on understanding these complex requirements, and ultimately produced a solution we were happy with. Even as the project progressed, and some requirements changed slightly, Richard came back every time within a few days to provide a new solution. We're very happy, and the finished product is working well. We will continue to use Time Technology as they take the time to really understand our requirements and don't over-estimate the workload. They also understand the wider picture of how pieces of work might affect existing areas, and in that sense that aren't siloed, which I have found with other partners in the past.
