Overview

The Photo Defaulter application was designed to set a custom default user photo for users in your Salesforce instance which varies from the default image used by Salesforce.

  • Set different default photos for users depending on their User Type. For example, only assign default photos to your Community users.

  • Use one custom photo to apply to all users or select more than one photo to randomize the photo that user receives.

  • Easily configured through Custom Metadata Types via the Salesforce setup menu.

The Photo Defaulter application was designed to set a custom default user photo for users in your Salesforce instance which varies from the default image issued by Salesforce. The photo can be applied not only for new users being created in your org but also retroactively update any existing users with the standard default image. Based on Salesforce community feedback, the Photo Defaulter application was built to either allow for one photo to be used for all new users (both internal & community) or randomly select from an image library defined by the system administrator configuring the application. The application was designed to make this feature a simple configuration change versus code so everything that is required is completely managed via the Salesforce setup menu.
