Works OK on Record Page but seems to have issues in a Flow
While it shows up in the Flow Component List, I am having problems getting it to work in a flow. Should it work in a flow?
Need to remove 7S Advertisement
Great product. Unusable with embedded advertisement. Remove advertisement please.
Minimal gallery of 3 videos - but it works
Was able to setup a gallery of videos in my Experience Cloud. Looks like I must use have dummy placeholders in case I have only 1 or 2 videos. See: https://juha-lassila-dev-ed.my.site.com/JobLead/videos Edit: I upgraded my evaluation of this component from 4 to 5 stars as I was not able fiddle successfully with other components so that they would work for Guest Users in Experience Cloud.
Functionality is there, but takes up too much real estate compared to vidyard
There's an annoying advertisement and lots of annoying white space around the video. Plus you have to click twice to expand a video to full screen. Once on the video site, then that site's full screen view. Lastly, when you have several videos in one component, the display is significantly reduced for each video. Would be better if the video that's player expands to fill the entire component size.
Quick & Easy Community Solution
We implemented this component in our Partner Community. It is really easy to configure, works well, looks good on the community page.
Video Gallery Component -- Works Great!
The component essentially does what Salesforce CMS allows you to do with videos, but with a lot less work and time involved. Great for quickly adding and replacing featured video content. I use the component in our Customer Community as well as internally (to show relevant videos to my end users). Internally, I have added multiple versions of the component featuring different video selections and played with the component visibility settings on the Lightning Record Pages to ensure that the content on the record pages is contextual -- based on specific values in select fields and visible to different user groups when they can benefit from seeing the content. Takes minutes to set up. Looks native to the Community as it adopts its styling. Seamless mobile experience. One enhancement that would make this component perfect would be adding Full Screen viewing mode, but other than that the component is solid and works just as described.
Useful Component for Videos but not flawless.
I loaded to create a video library for an Employee Community designed to help our employees utilize the features/functions of Salesforce. I want to point out some useful YouTube videos that Salesforce has created but the component does not allow for Full Screen viewing unless the user selects to "Watch on YouTube". I needed a component to allow me to put more than one video in the container at a time to save screen space. This would be a great tool, and get 5 stars from me, if the option to switch to full screen was available. Having only one video in the gallery is a bit small to view and if there are more than one it is even more difficult to view so want the ability to switch to full screen but it is currently grayed out and says it is unavailable when I click on the full screen option from the video player in Salesforce/Gallery component.
I don't see any comments from the vendor to answer whether this is a setup issue or a known issue... or whether it's something on the roadmap. Not seeing any response is always a red flag for me in the app exchange. Is this something that got addressed in an update since your post?
This is a great utility but scrolling on the Salesforce mobile app is not working seamlessly
This is a great utility but scrolling on the Salesforce mobile app is not working seamlessly. It is as if users need to imagine a scroll bar to the right side of the screen and scroll . This does not work when user wants to scroll by clicking on video component. Users want superior user experience that they get on any other mobile app. Please fix this.
Hi Don! We didn’t build this version to work in a Flow, although it’s possible we’ll make that update in the future. We do have a paid version that is unmanaged that has that feature. Please contact us if you are interested. Thanks!
