Overview

Slack brings team communication and collaboration into one place so you can get more work done. To get started, create a Slack team and add the Salesforce integration to connect your team’s conversations with CRM. Just visit slack.com/sfdc.

  • To set up the Salesforce Integration you’ll need to configure in both Slack and Salesforce. Here’s how to do it: 1) First, install the Salesforce integration to Slack from the Slack App Directory at https://slack.com/apps/A2DAS7NNR-salesforce.

  • 2) Now install the Slack app on AppExchange and follow the instructions in the "Setup Guide for the AppExchange Slack App" file available at the bottom of this page under "CUSTOMIZATION GUIDES".

  • 3) Once you've installed both apps, click the "Link to Slack" button on any supported Salesforce object page and follow the prompts to connect the relevant channel in Slack.

Use Slack to: • Communicate with your team and organize your conversations by topics, projects, or anything else that matters to you • Message or call anyone within your team • Share and edit documents and collaborate with the right people • Integrate the tools and services you already use including GSuite, Salesforce, Dropbox, Asana, and more • Easily search a central knowledge base that automatically indexes and archives your team’s past conversations and files • Customize your notifications so you stay focused on what matters Scientifically proven (or at least rumored) to make your working life simpler, more pleasant, and more productive. The integration allows you to: • Search Salesforce from Slack by typing /salesforce [search term], then choose to share your search results alongside your conversations in channel. • Just as you can send messages from Chatter to your linked Slack channel(s), do the same from Slack using the /chatter slash command. • This App only supports public Slack channels • This app does not currently support sandbox Salesforce instances
