Generic Lightning Data Table Component

Overview

This component does not use any third party libraries. It has the functionality for sorting & searching inside the table. It is a generic lightning component so it adapts to the dynamic query. Handles both custom and standard object records.

  • Create a lightning component

  • Place Lightning_Data_Table_Component inside it and pass the object name, columns to Display, and full SOQL query to that component as parameter.

  • Place the Lightning Component on a Page to display it.

This Lightning Component has built in search and sorting functionality. Fields will be displayed based on the object and field level permission. If the field is not accessible by the user it will not be displayed to them. All the user need to do is pass the parameters and table will be created automatically with all the functionality (Search&Sorting). The searching and sorting is valid across all the column of the table. This component is mainly aimed at saving the developer time.
