Associate pre-defined tags to the Account records.

Overview

TagIt allows salesforce admins to pre-define a list of tags that their end-users could then apply to Accounts, that’s to prospect or customer records. Tags can be associated only to the account object, it can not be associated to other object types.

  • Read only Account record users can only view tags. Read/Write only Account record users in addition can also add/remove tags.

  • Admin can make certain tags available only to a certain set of users.

  • Tags category can be hidden. Type Ahead features. Tags can be colored

TagIt allows salesforce admins to pre-define a list of tags that their end-users could then apply to Accounts, that’s to prospect or customer records. Unlike standard Tags, Topics this is designed to work off of a pre-defined list of Tags only, which means the end-users wouldn’t be able to create new tags on their own. Also, given this is a purpose-built solution that leverages custom object, record access can be controlled by standard sharing constructs like user role, sharing rule. So not all users would need to have access to all pre-defined tags, instead, the admin can make certain tags available only to a certain set of users.
