Is there a way to customize the header breakdown?
I would like the header breakdown by exact dates instead of months... Otherwise; this app works as intended, so far in my sandbox.
Cannot Install
"Layout(Timeline_Configuration__c-Timeline Configuration Layout) The ActionId specified was invalid for ActionType QuickAction. The action name is FeedItem.TextPost"
Amazing Product
The product very useful and the UI is great. Have more functionalities from standard Timeline. The product owner very responsive. Amazing product!!
unable to install getting apex errors
Tried to install but got the errors: ApexClass Invalid type: ContentNote RecordTimelineDataProvider: Invalid type: ContentNote ApexClass Variable does not exist: noteDetail RecordTimelineDataProvider: Variable does not exist: noteDetail ApexClass Variable does not exist: noteDetail.Content RecordTimelineDataProvider: Variable does not exist: noteDetail.Content ApexClass Variable does not exist: noteDetail.CreatedBy RecordTimelineDataProvider: Variable does not exist: noteDetail.CreatedBy ApexClass Invalid type: ContentNote RecordTimelineDataProviderTest: Invalid type: ContentNote
got past this by enabling notes under setup > sales > notes settings but... configuration isn't very clear, but the video helps. If you don't provide a title field in a child object in the wizard you get an ugly exception "Hmm, that didn't work. Check your internet connection and refresh the page. If the issue persists, ask for help with this error: Unfortunately, there was a problem. Please try again. If the problem continues, get in touch with your administrator with the error ID shown here and any other related details. Error ID: 214536071-923669 (-1610854448)" If you have rich text case comments enabled and choose case comment and select the field CommentBodyRichtext you get an error: Error loading data: [ System.QueryException ] : No such column 'CommentBodyRichtext' on entity 'CaseComment'. If you are attempting to use a custom field, be sure to append the '__c' after the custom field name. Please reference your WSDL or the describe call for the appropriate names. even though the field name is correct.
Great app. Would it be possible to customize the sorting order ?
It's a very useful app. However we have a use case where our users would like to be able to change the order how the records are displayed in the timeline. From lowest to highest instead of Highest to lowest. Would this be possible ?
Can't add 2 Childs from the same object
I want to create 2 Childs from Case 1. Created Date 2. Close Date It only let me use 1 from each object Error loading data: [ System.QueryException ] : Cannot follow the same aggregate relationship twice: Cases
Hi Guy, good news: you can have different implementations for child objects! Unfortunately not with the standard child configuration, as you have seen. Instead, you would need to write one or more Apex dataproviders. The documentation contains an example dataprovider.
Great UI, Easy Config and Easy to Extend
The UI is great in this component. It is easy to configure, especially with the screen flow wizard, and you can easily extend the functionality of queried data with a custom apex data provider.
This is great!
Love this package. Easy to install and very valuable.
Great Utility
This is a great app and serves the purpose. Quick question: Does the timeline view refreshes automatically as soon as a new record is created? Or is there a way for us to atleast refresh the page for the user who created the record on which the timeline is configured?
How does it handle relationships?
Hello, I'm considering building this into our org to tackle a few shortcomings of the normal activity timeline. Although there are more then one use case for us to use this timeline component, I'm curious how it handles lookup relations to other objects. In the normal activity timeline, tasks/events are limited by the WhoId & WhatId. In our use case, we need to be able to relate tasks/events to one contact, and possibly multiple opportunities. Could you speak on the capabilities and if this could be achieved? If so, a huge win over the standard activity timeline! Let me know, and thanks for the support
Hello Zdenko, the Spring '26 Salesforce release caused this issue in our package. This has been solved since march 2026. Can you have another look and let me know if this works for you?
