Additional Details

Setting up CI/CD can be painful. This is due to the initial time investment in setting things up and to the ongoing maintenance of the different systems involved. The Packaging Wizard aims to address this. It empowers the user to quickly set up CI/CD mappings in their DevHub org and then serves as a single source of truth for this configuration throughout development. Heroku Pipelines are the engine of the app. Each time a commit is made to a Github branch, a Heroku Pipeline App orchestrates the steps to compile, test, and deploy the committed source code to a corresponding SFDC org. This process is carried out for both development and production applications so that, at all times, the QA Org and Staging Org are kept in sync with their requisite VCS branches. Authentication, and which branches map to which orgs, is all efficiently managed from the Packaging Wizard. The Packaging Wizard goes a step further by automating 2nd Generation Packaging tasks. Each commit to Release branch generates a 2nd Generation Package Version. Namespaces can be linked to packages as well, all without ever having to use the command line.
