Installed Base knowledge is essential for manufacturers selling and servicing high-performance and heavy-duty industrial equipment. Identifying asset ownership is the key to monetizing the Installed Base but it requires a constant effort to gather and recoup information to register assets to their location and owner. The effort is time-consuming, error-prone, human-dependent, and limited in scope. When tracking their Assets directly in Salesforce, manufacturers can automate the registration of their Installed Base and focus their efforts on activating highly qualified opportunities resulting from the precise location of the hardware they have manufactured. Being Salesforce-based, the data is immediately available to all the Salesforce users to enrich existing workflows and allow the creation of new processes supporting a better customer experience.
