EU VAT Check

Check European VAT Numbers on any field.

Overview

Lightning Web Component that checks the VAT or TAX Number of any record when a record is created or updated in any Lightning page. Drag and drop it to your lightning page of choice, specify the VAT field for the page's object, DONE.

See How EU VAT Check Works

  • Checks the specific format (e.g. BE0.... ) of any European VAT Number. Provides feedback to the user on the country specific format. This validation message can be changed to your need.

  • Additionally checks the VAT number in the EU Database => EU Vies service (see data sheets).

  • Can be used on any custom object and most standard objects.

The flexible lightning component does 2 things: 1. Is the format of the VAT Number correcting according to the Country code ? See: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/#/faq (Q11) 2. Is the VAT Number existing and valid ?
