Overview
The Lightning Following Report App enables to see all the records you're following in one place. It provides an easy way to unfollow a record that was previously being followed. Filter the following records based on the object type (Standard & Custom).
Instantly know the total following record count in real time. If you're reaching the per user following limit (500) unfollow records without leaving the following report app. Know which objects (Accounts, etc.) have max follow count and unfollow them.
Unfollow a record that was previously being followed. If you accidentally clicked unfollow, don't worry you can toggle to follow the record again! While on the following record list, click on the record name to navigate to record.
Get key insights into each record being followed with record last modified date, followed date and the record name.
When users follow a record, they see updates on their feed based on the fields the administrators configured for feed tracking, for example, Lead Status. Eventually, the Lead status is moved to ‘Closed-Converted’, but the user is still needlessly following the record. Records like this soon add up to the user’s limit of 500, preventing them following current records that need their attention. Following hundreds of records also leads to too many notification emails, resulting in ‘notification noise’ and failure to notice the ones that matter. The Lightning Following Report tracks all the records you follow in one place and gives the ability to follow/unfollow without scrolling through the chatter feed. It’s used by CRM users to track and manage the records they are following, and by Administrators, to manage records followed by their users. The Lightning Following Report is a Lightning Web Component and installs as a Lightning item on the App Launcher. My domain needs to be enabled to install the app.
