Facing Issues in Setup, while creating App
While creating a CRM Analytics app for Value Analytics, I encountered an error during the final step involving the Recipe: Error: Failed — DataflowInstance 03CQy000009Qnr7MAC failed. Something went wrong while executing the GetDataset4 node: Error while selecting fields from the dataset. [error category: USER]: Invalid extract field name [COMPONENT_NAME] (02KQy000003kd4gMAA_03CQy000009Qnr7MAC_012) Could you please help me resolve this issue?
Having Issues in Setup, No Actual Dashboards??
Hi, trying to find a way to get support for this; I have followed the Setup guide linked on this app exchange page but am stuck after app creation. I went to schedule the data sync on the recipes, there were only 2 (both scheduled now though). Right from the data sync section the guide jumps to explaining the dashboard components- but how do I get to the dashboard? I have the Value Analytics app, all the listed datasets, but no idea how to get to the visualization portion of this app. Please help! [5 stars for great support so far!]
Hi Jessica, apologies that you've hit some issues with this. Can you check a few things: - Does the Value Analytics app install history show as successful under the App Install History page in setup: https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=analytics.bi_monitor_app_install.htm&type=5 - If unsuccessful, what is the last step / error? - If successful, in the Value Analytics App (folder) in the Analytics Studio, under Dashboards, is anything listed there? I've added a new support e-mail address under "Other Resources" (valueanalyticsappexchange@gmail.com) Feel free to e-mail any screenshots etc. Thanks.
Not able to create the App - Got quicker responses to get it fixed. Thanks.
We have been trying to create the Event monitoring app and in all the sandbox's it fails with the same error "The dataflow was completed, but the AugmentWithContentName node didn't augment any columns. Either the node didn't find any matches, or a join key contains only null values." SF support team has also been unsuccessful in resolving. Not sure how to proceed as Value Analytics is also failing.
Okay, thanks for narrowing it down to the Opportunity recipe. TL;DR: Move an Opportunity to Closed-Won (make sure IsClosed = true and IsWon = true), run data sync in data manager for Opportunity object (make sure there are no filters in the sync that could filter out this opportunity), and then re-try the app. Alternatively: don't include Opportunity in the app wizard (at least for this environment). Explanation: What's happening here is in the Clustering function at the end of the recipe, where it's grouped users to have Won opportunities and tries to build cohorts based on this (and other) measures. If nobody's closed-won any opportunities, the clustering function bugs out. Let me know how you get on.
Hi Mohseen, sorry to hear you've hit some issues. That message for the Event Monitoring app dataflow is only a warning, and not a failure. In short, it means it didn't find any matching Content records with content view event logs. The Event Monitoring dashboards should be have fine. This wouldn't impact the Value Analytics as it doesn't use any of the Content-related event logs. I've checked in with support and, while this is a Salesforce Labs product and we don't offically support it, they may send you a link to the documentation. The error you encountered is listed on the User Guide Known Issues section here: https://salesforce.quip.com/61ASA8kRLHdn#temp:C:HWVb563a849a27d4e309bc009a75 It's likely a data issue, in which you're including the analysis on account, case, lead or opportunity when there's no qualifying data. Either update one record for each, as mentioned in that link, or, in the app setup wizard, don't select the checkbox for analysing that object. Let me know if that helps.
No event monitoring then we can’t use this
We do have crm analytics but no event monitoring. It’s too expensive. Salesforce should provide exactly what this app do to small to medium org that can’t afford event monitoring.
One of the best app for CRM Analytics
Value Analytics is a truly innovative CRM analytics template application that provides critical insights into user behaviour, performance, and potential areas for improvement. Thanks to it, we are able to make more effective decisions based on data. I have a full review of the Value Analytics setup and my findings on the SFApps.info blog. Those who are still thinking about it are welcome to read it.
Great Insight Into Our Company
Value Analytics gives us a perfect picture of what our users are doing and how we can help them do it better.
This might be better than sliced bread....
Holy $hit!!! this thing is freaking sweet. I wish i had known about this sooner. With this app we are able to understand what our users are doing and take action on it. We also can understand click paths and how our users use salesforce.
Hi Pietro, have you review the video playlist linked below? https://vimeo.com/channels/1811385 Also, the User Guide (also linked below) gives a detailed breakdown of the Adoption dashboard and the metrics within: https://salesforce.quip.com/61ASA8kRLHdn Hope those help.
A game changer
Never before did we have a view into adoption at our fingertips. Being able to correlate user behaviour with business outcomes is a game changer.
Hi Raghu, I think I know what the issue is. Can you open up the Value Analytics app / folder in the Analytics Studio, and click on the top-right where it says 'Update / Reconfigure App', and take screenshots of each of the steps in the wizard, so I can see which datasets were selected for each log type. Please e-mail them to valueanalyticsappexchange@gmail.com . Many thanks!
