Additional Details
One of the first use cases of process automation that many Salesforce customers ask for is the ability to automatically create follow-up tasks based on certain criteria. Whether it’s automatically scheduling a second call after leaving a voicemail, creating a reminder to follow up on a quote sent, or pre-populating the next step in a project plan, Flow makes this easy! However, configuring and maintaining these automations requires admin-level privileges and skills, meaning that business users are unable to make changes on their own and have to add to an admin’s ever-growing list of requests. Not anymore! Task Follow-Up Rules gives business users the power to manage these automated processes without needing to go into Flow Builder. TFUR leverages a custom object to build out an automation process and a behind-the-scenes Flow to execute. After the initial setup, no admin work is required. And admins still have full control, since access to the custom object is governed by standard Salesforce security settings. Win-win-win!
