Great tool for searching the API

Plus App is easy to use and thoroughly searches all API to find name usage. It is invaluable for searching field name usage of managed packages, a must have!

Simple intuitive app and very useful

Really easy to get started post app install and very useful for admins to document the configurations, report on metadata and assess technical debt through the familiar Salesforce interface. Well done to the PlusApp team for the free app.

Great tool to for effective management of metadata

This tool saves me so much time! I mainly use it to evaluate how often a field is being used and if it should be deprecated in our system. I've also started to use the tagging system to better identify types of metadata where future actions (i.e. de-referencing) is necessary before I make any immediate changes. I'm sure it's way more powerful than my surface level usage but I haven't had the time to full explore all of it's functionality. Thank you for providing such a useful tool for free! Update: Their Customer Support is great, I had a question about running a Field Trip and I got a very quick response!

Good App for metadata search

App is good in terms of fetching all the metadata. We have two concerns 1. when using the global search the results are more compared to the search in Plus app tab. Tried to get those global search results using report but it is not useful. 2. The jobs are running daily but we want to reschedule them on weekly basis. Plus app is a managed package so any suggestions how we can reschedule those batches according to our requirement.

This app is very useful, it track the most of metadata. It will be very helpful if we can export all metadata in on excel file

Easily one of the best Free app for metadata management

Well this app has immensely helped us is getting the results we wanted. Couple of things that can be improved or added: 1. CSV export create multiple rows in the excel for the same formula and other attributes, making us go for reports, should be a single line 2. Validation rules missing from the field usage

Great admin/dev tool for quick discovery

Super useful! Based on this app I created two reports: Objects and Fields. With this setup I have a Data Dictionary which allows me to get a list of all field details (incl. Description and Help text) of any Object, Custom Setting and Custom Metadata Type. Metadata details include dependencies as links, which allows quick navigation between items. Therefore, now I have a tool for quick discovery of relevant details and couplings of any metadata item. One of the most powerful apps in my arsenal, no doubt about this.

Good

After installing for the first time, I had an error "Collection size 1,965 exceeds maximum size of 1,000.". However, I did reinstall it and looks like I have correct package installed (same screens as shown in your details) successfully. Hence I am editing my review. This free application is easy for use with graphical view.

Super Useful

I seldom write reviews unless I believe there is value in doing so. For a free app, Plus is awesome. Installation and configuration was relatively painless. Install > Config > Let job run across metadata...that's it. Post install, you get some cool looking dashboards, page layouts by record type for specific metadata (which as quite developed), and a metadata object for reporting against. Was able to digest the object model and most of its features in just a couple hours. You can also customize the list views just like any other within the custom app for Plus. Also has the ability to flag fields and other metadata for org cleanup efforts. A really neat feature was the ability to see picklist values. The one thing i wish it had was more reporting for automations such as Workflow Rules, Process Builders, and Flows. While the app does identify if a field is linked/participates in such, getting to the actual linear progression of such automation would make this a perfect tool.

Best Free App I have installed

I have been doing this for 11 years and I have never installed and tested a FREE app where I did not immediately identify customizations needed to give me what I want. This gave me what I was looking out of the box for "fieldtrip" review with ALL the needed fields (including Created date, Modified date, Created by, Modified by, on your fields not just on the app meta tracking fields as well as field use counts etc. all in one without any catches) AND EXPORTS that do not have ANY restrictions on how or what you get in the report extract (it uses standard report and dashboard functionality). I did not come across ANY catches or to free functionality. I am actually shocked that it is free. I have tested about 10 other similar "free" apps, This blows them away! The pre-build reports and dashboards are well thought out / clearly not just thrown in to add to the apps features list. Bonus, they are editable out of the box (so be careful and do a save as prior to editing if you like them) I was a little nervous about the api calls to get it up and running and storage but it has been fine and worth the install! So many additional features that I cant cover in 1 review but things like the ability to build field tracking scenarios on steroids with little customization needed and the metadata backup, change tracking, and tagging options are awesome as well. I typically don't even test apps with under 10 reviews. That said, I was desperate to get around the sales catches / limitations / misrepresented "free" features on the current "fieldtrip" app's out there so I took a chance on this one. You can look me up, I have absolutely nothing to do with this app. That said, I highly recommend you test / use this if you need a metadata tool (which includes prebuild, everything needed, "fieldtrip" tools out of the box) especially if you are thinking of paying for similar tool! This is TRULY FREE out of the box! Amazing!
