Great Addition for Big Objects

This should be a standard inclusion, but this related list is great. Just be sure to read through the documentation and have your Bog Object Lookup Relationship as your primary index field.

Error when clicking on view more

Hi, We have installed the app, placed the custom component in our case Lightning page. We cannot see any records displayed in the related list and when we click on view more link, we see a lightning component error message " [Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'length')]" be.handleViewMore()@https://test.salesforce.com.com/lightning/r/Case/5009E00000J7FYSQA3/modules/bOrl/bigObjectRelatedList.js:1:7226

Actually I found that I was getting that error as a result of not having my Lookup Relationship set as my primary index (in my case the Contact). I had to rebuild my Big Object with that new index and now it works great.

Same for me. Very unfortunate because this is needed functionality.

Program errors in Lookup field filter in lightning component in Record page.

Hi Zakaria, We have installed Big object related list app from app-exchange in our sandbox. and then we have referred the lighting component in lighting record page to show the related case task details which are achieved, but we were getting error message from the component like below, 'Related_To_Cases__c' can not be filtered in a query call Related_To_Cases__c is lookup field in big object. Please let me know if you can assist on this.

Limitation in Tile Display mode

Is there a way to display more than 5 columns in Tile Display mode ? Our big Object tables have more than 8 columns to be displayed, for some reason, I am not able to display more than 8 columns. Regards Jana

Hi, I couldn't reproduce this from my side. I did a couple of tests and I can display more than 5 fields in the tile display mode without any issues. Could you please reach out to me by email (zakariasemri@gmail.com) and share more details about the configuration you set up etc? Thanks.

Nice Idea but it lacks essential functionalities

Hi Zakaria, I was testing this component on one of my sandboxes and noticed that if you have a long text field in the custom object & use it in the related fields, it trims the field and there's no hover implemented to show the entire field. Hi, This text truncation is a behavior provided by the out-of-the-box datatable component (lightning-datatable), not something I introduced explicitly. However, the end-users can go with the "Wrap text" option in the column header associated with the long text field you're describing (The default one is "Clip text" and it's the one that truncates the text). In case this default datatable feature doesn't work for you, and if you want to customize the component more to your needs and context, I made the source code available here: https://github.com/SalesforceLabs/BigObjectsRelatedList. Person Account / Contact issue

Did not work when using Person Accounts and the lookup field to the relevant BigObject is the contact ID. Would be great to be able to handle this situation, as many related lists on person accounts are actually tied to the contact ID and not the account ID.

Hi Zakaria, understand its been a few years, but did the functionality of using Contact ID as lookup field eventuate. I have millions to email records linked to contact ID that I would like to move to Big Objects and show in your related list back on contact record. This app has lots of functionality if it can work with Contact ID.

Simple and Easy

Recently started using this related list for my company. I was really happy to find it, after discovering that Big Objects aren't capable of being viewed in related lists. I've been using it for the last few weeks and it hasn't given us any trouble yet. Would recommend.
