In my experience, there's a substantial mismatch between what nonprofits need, and what most consultancies provide. For the challenges that nonprofits face, the solution is rarely to have a dozen billable resources sit on meetings, or to throw custom code at a problem until it goes away. Instead, the best solution is often the simplest. It should be something that the stakeholders at a nonprofit can buy into and can afford. It's nearly impossible to teach someone how to do this in a vacuum. It really can only come from experience, empathy for users, and embracing a creative approach to problem-solving. I believe Plutus is an excellent example of what this dynamic *should* look like. The co-founders - Alex and Josh - have deep experience in the nonprofit space, and a proven track record working with the Salesforce Clouds, AppExchange products, and developing their own custom (clicks or code) solutions. The Plutus team has been integral to our organization's CRM transition. Josh and his team worked months on end to develop a system that was uniquely catered to the needs of our team and members.
