Review on Out of Office Request
This functionality has potential. This didn't work for me even though I followed the Admin Guide thoroughly. It would be nice to include functionality that allows the Cases to be reassigned as soon as the Out of Office Request is created, edited, or deleted. This should include the ability to reassign cases from the Backup Person to the Person taking time off after an Out of Office Request is no longer valid. I also saw a similar package called I Am Out! What is the difference between that app and this one? They both are created by Salesforce Labs.
With this App our SF users can go on Holiday without worrying about reopend Cases or forgotten Tasks
I first had some issues to get the setup of this App correctly, as I'm a novice Admin without IT backgroud. But with the great help of the App builder, Demen Selcan, I got everything installed as it should. Thanks again Demen for your patience and time !!
Re-assign back to the user that take the time off
Will it re-assign back to the user that take the time off if it hits the end date?
Thanks for your review, Simon. It doesn't re-assign the records after the due date in the current version. I am currently working on a public website where you can submit ideas and where I will be adding a public roadmap. This is a requirement I will definitely be looking into more closely. Works well and does the job
How would i schedule this to run every hour ? I tried using the system.schedule for a Cron Job, but i think the Apex class is not Global and giving me error when scheduling
Thank you so much for your review and honest feedback, Afzal. Thank you also for letting me know that you are not able to schedule the job more often than the scheduler in the setup would let you. This wasn't intended. I will be working on a fix in the next two weeks and am also planning to make this app open source in the near future. Best, Demen
Hi @Alexander, I am a little confused about your review as we do not have such a method in our package. Also, I am not sure how you are trying to execute the "UpdateCaseOwners.scheduleUpdateCaseOwners()" if you were not able to install this app. I have seen that you have left the same comment on this (similar) App from the AppExchange which is different than ours (https://appexchange.salesforce.com/appxListingDetail?listingId=a0N3A00000EJaYZUA1). Happy to review your error with you.
