If you are having trouble getting this to work
Make sure to assign the "Access Customer Asset Lifecycle Management APIs" user permission to your users. Do this via permission set or add to a custom profile. In addition, make sure you have appropriate permissions to the Asset, Asset Action, Asset Action Source, and Asset State Period objects.
