Report Sender Pro by Peeklogic was exactly the solution we were looking for. When I initially installed it, I had an issue with the format of a report. I reached out Peeklogic to explain the issue and they took the time to meet with me and understand the issue, then resolved it very quickly. And the pricing is tough to beat. I recommend this app for scheduling and emailing reports to people outside your salesforce org.
