Brilliant Utility

A must have for any system admin trying to get a handle on permissions. It does that, and more. Extremely affordable, especially given how much time and energy it saves. If you're serious about security and compliance, e.g. ISO and SOC 2, or just need help understanding your config, I highly recommend it.

Wish I'd known about this app sooner!

I wish I'd known about this app sooner! It is very useful, especially coming into a new org, it helps in understanding everyone's permissions. Even if you have already been in your org for a while, this tool is still very useful, from understanding how many permission sets there are, to comparing different profiles and layouts. In addition, support is top tier, Scott has been able to assist with any issues I've had since installing the app. Would highly recommend!

The one app you need as a Salesforce Admin!

One job I always hated as a system admin was permissions auditing. It was always so time consuming and there was no easy way to list permissions and compare them across users to find erroneously assigned permissions. No longer is this the headache it once was thanks to Permissions Assistant. The app has drastically reduced the amount of time wasted on these audits and ensure our time can be spent elsewhere on more business critical tasks. Scott will bend over backwards to resolve any onboarding issues which may crop up, as quickly as possible and the support you receive is second to none. The support we recieved was super quick, comprehensive and impressive, given the time zone differences between the UK and US. If you're looking at the app then I cannot recommend enough installing it just for the free trial. If permissions are as much of a headache for you, you'll find the free trial gives you enough features to immediately see the benefit to your organisation. We immediately benefited from the free trial by being able to easily compare users and identified numerous users who had been assigned high risk permissions. In my view, this app is worth every penny and cannot thank Scott enough for all the help and support in getting us going and in not only speeding up our audits but also improving the overall security of our org.

Helped me finally solve a long running issue

Great Tool - As a new admin with a company new to salesforce, I was struggling to find why a certain user couldnt see widgets on a dashboard even when higher up in the hierarchy than those who could, access to all relevant folders, objects etc. Had no success of solving after troubleshooting via a ton of online research and SF groups. Installed this app, compared the permissions of that user with one who had access and instantly saw access they didnt have. It was a permission to a behind the scenes object I never would have looked up or thought would have been required. Wish I did this first! I foresee myself using this tool a lot going forward. Super easy to use.

Issue with snapshot

Is it required to run the snapshot for initial analysis? What if I don't have enough file space to store the snapshots?

Timesaving app to view and compare permissions!

It can be incredibly time consuming for admins to get an insight on user perm assignments especially if you are new to an existing org. This app is easy to use to provide a summary of perms, comparing user perms, and exposing dangerous perm assignments. Its amazing!

A Permissions Mystery Solver

As an admin, I've loved using Permissions Assistant. We've had situations where users with the same profile had different access levels to features and it was a total mystery as to why! Permissions Assistant helped me drill down and pinpoint what was going on. Being able to compare two different users or profiles so easily (side-by-side) saved me hours of clicking around. Whether you have a mature org or you are just new to your org, Permissions Assistant is a valuable tool that will help take the guesswork out of cleanup.
