Very customizable, but limiting generic notifications

i like how you can specify custom error messages per data stream or other metadata type name and type. but you lose the ability to just specify if i want any errors to go to data cloud admins email, regardless of what type or specific object failed, causing me to need to make a new record for this anytime we make a new data stream, or transform, ect.

Looks like it has potential...if only the flows actually were configured

I have installed, assigned myself the admin perm set and made sure I have the admin access to data cloud in this org. I have created the CMDT records and jumped to review the flows...only to note that while the flows seemed to have downloaded they are not only empty (no configuration at all), but all of them are auto-launched start despite most having a description for record-triggered. Which means deleting most and starting over, as well as somehow building out all 8 flows. I hope there is something I am missing that will help me get those built out flows??

Hi Kari, if you've installed this via the app exchange as a managed package then you cannot see the configuration for the flows. This isn't specific to the app, and standard Salesforce behaviour. The flows are Record Triggered flows, I think the process type is showing incorrectly in Salesforce from the flows list view which isn't package related. If there is a specific error that you are seeing, please can you raise it on the Github repo here: https://github.com/SalesforceLabs/datacloud-error-handling-for-flow

does not install

Please advise on what to do to get this to install. It is complaining about an object that is missing for the start in the flow and supposedly needs replacing, yet if it is not installing, it cannot be replaced. Flow(Data_Cloud_Activation_Failure_Notifications-1) We can’t find the object specified in the Start element. Replace it with the API name of an object in your org.

Hi Heike, this might be a licence restriction. The error you are seeing for the flow install uses the object called "Activation". Can you confirm that you are licenced for Activations in Data Cloud? If not, that will most likely be your issue. You can install the unmanaged version from Github here: https://github.com/SalesforceLabs/datacloud-error-handling-for-flow and remove the flow you don't need.
