Generate custom PDF for Knowledge articles sent from cases

When we attach and send Knowledge articles from cases the default salesforce PDF generator create a very plain looking document. The command we embed in the email message/template is {!case.articles_as_pdf}. We don't want to change our workflow just the look of the PDF.
