Merriam Music has relied upon ActiveNet, ACCPAC, Salesforce and WordPress(Woo Commerce), Ceridian systems to manage customers’ accounts, payroll, financial and other administrative functions. As the number of customers grows, so does the burden placed upon headquarters to effectively manage the company’s administration at acceptable levels. Further, our needs with regards to our customer scheduling is both sophisticated but also highly unique, preventing any plausible off-the-shelf solution. This has formerly necessitated several improvised solutions, none ideal, which were also highly labor intensive and error-prone. The fact that these software platforms are not interconnected creates major issues. The data has to be entered in every system independently increasing the chance for error. Not being able to run financial reports from one system only and having to reconcile data from multiple systems is another problem area. Customers have to phone in or email all their requests from enrollments to payments and every request is dealt with by our Customer Care team. Opening the system to customers so they can manage their own accounts is one of the main requirements of this project
