Need to be able to see if Automated Email Alerts (workflow) have been opened

Hello there, Currently when we manually send an HTML email template we can go to HTML email status report and see which prospects have opened an email, when, and how many times etc. We have just set up some workflows which mean that 90% of our emails are automated based on the stage of sales process. We need want to be able to pull up a report and see which of these emails have been opened just like we currently have. Please respond with your proposal, with how long it will take to have active and how you hope to achieve this. We work in GMT time in Dublin. Fluent English a must. Thanks
