Very satisfied with WebSource CPQ

After several months of trying to find an easy solution to implement a fully automated quoting system in SalesForce, we selected WebSource CPQ. Finding a solution for configuration, pricing & quoting proved harder than expected. The Webcom team quickly pulled ahead in our evaluation thanks to the flexibility of the product and the superb support we got from their team during the trial and, later, during the implementation.####There are several things to love about this solution. In fact the system is, overall, excellent. Here is nevertheless a few things that really made the difference in for our implementation:####- The configuration engine is exceptionally flexible.##- The final quote generation engine is very fast and far more flexible than standard merging techniques.##- The workflow management is very complete.##- The system is designed for multi-company, multi-currency.##- The integration with SalesForce for the product list is great (no need to ever enter the products in SF anymore, which is a bonus!).##- The special pricing management is very complete and allows for complex standard discounting rules.##- The system is entirely customizable.####Overall, we are very satisfied with the system and looking forward to exploit the majority of its capabilities, which is something we will do over time given its broad capabilities. Let me finish by stating that the system was implemented without using consulting services and simply relying on their excellent support line.

Atrocious - inconsistent, undocumented, and hard to maintain

We have been customers of this product for some time, and are about to abandon it before we even roll it out internally. Setting up the product configuration is tough, even for technical geeks, with two different editors ("oh, that one is for our legacy customers, use the other one", "ahh, you need to edit that parameter in a different editor, sir...") that overlap in 90% of the functionality, but noone can tell you what 10% is to be found where.####Complex support system, with almost inaccessible customer forums, so you can't find out what has been fixed before.####Although we couldn't find anything at this price point, we have decided to spend more $$$ and less time and frustration with a product from the next tier up - BigMachines.####Don't EVER try to use the documentation. Lots of it, but no examples, and it never keeps up to date with the releases.

Greg we are very sorry about your experience. We wish you the best of luck in implementing BM or whomever else you choose if that does not work out. Let us know if we can do anything to help in your transition. We strongly recommend that you attend their training and purchase at least a few consulting days to help you implement in order to avoid repeating the bad experience. We do regret not being able to talk you into doing the same with us. Sorry.

Ease of Integration for CPQ from Smax iPad Application

In our integration testing with CPQ and our Smax iPad application, the ease of use of custom action URL links to open and execute the CPQ Catalog and part selection for a Quote is amazing. The forwarding of the Quote to the Business Contact via DocuSign is very efficient.

Very happy with the choice of CPQ

I am a CPQ end user. This product has changed my work life without sounding to corny. I use to have to ask for quotes to be generated by our account person as it was part of our accounting software and they would not allow me access to that system. This would slow down the process of getting the quotation to my customer and from what i had heard, it was not a simple task to generate a quote using the accounting software. Since we deployed CPQ into our organisation, I am now able to provide a quote a to a customer without having to annoy the accounts department. I am an account manager so it was important that the product we selected would be easy to use and configurable as we are not your typical organisation. As an end user, I found this product to be just that - EASY to use and configurable. I have had to train a couple of user on the product in the last couple of years and they all seem to get this product pretty quickly with not much training. I am not a back end person but it seems like its easy to configure to suit all quoting needs. We have hardly found any situations which CPQ is unable to handle. Would highly recommend this product in future to anyone.

Fast and Flexible

We needed to make a significant change in how we configured and priced not just individual units, but an entire site installation of our product, a combination of hardware and software. Having had some experience with some other major players in this space, we went looking for something that was easier to implement and maintain, as well as being cost effective for a company our size. ##On a recommendation from an associate in the Salesforce community, we looked into Websource CPQ. There was a crucial, fairly complex component within our configuration requirements and when we provided information to the sales team working with us, they came back the very next day, not just with confirmation that it could done, but a working model that we could experiment with.##From pulling the trigger to going live was just six weeks. Everything we've thrown at it - complex kits and bundles, complicated approval models, a 2-tier channel model - Websource CPQ has been able to accomodate without customization. A remarkably flexible and easy to use document generation capability tops off the package, along with a tight and seamless integration to Salesforce.##Very satisfied with the product.

Great App Works Seamlessly with Salesforce.com

We have been a Webcom CPQ Customer for a few years now. Our quoting requirements are highly complex from a Configuration, Pricing, Discount and Approval standpoint and Webcom CPQ has allowed us to be more responsive to our customers. We recently moved our sales team onto Salesforce. Our chief concern was ensuring that Webcom and CPQ would stay in sync and work seamlessly. I am happy to say that the out of the box functionality that Webcom provides allowed us to map all of our transactions and fields between the two systems. The amount of effort to tweak the interface to meet our needs was minimal. To date we have had zero issues with the interface. Works Great!

Good quoting system

This system is flexible and fast improving. These guys are investing very much in the CPQ quoting platform and it is dramatically improving in features and performances. It is a real value added system in complex environment like our Company, giving the possibility to customize every single component. Webcom is a fast and very reactive Company with a nice and cost effective solution.
