Powerful, Exapandable Tool Makes GrantMaking a Snap

I have to admit, I was initially resistant to implementing a Salesforce-based solution. For years, I thought it would be too corporate and sales-focused. But ever since implementing foundationConnect, my tune has changed. FoundationConnect is in and of itself a great tool - it helps us take grants through their entire cycle in a snap, while being able to assure data integrity along the way. The grantee portal also works great. But this system goes beyond that. You can also harness the power of other Salesforce apps to integrate everything from Outlook to Evernote to SmartSheet, increasing seamlessness all around. The system is fully scale-able. I feel that if we needed to triple our grantmaking tomorrow, we'd be able to do that pretty easily. I highly recommend foundationConnect!

As a new grantmaker, I've really appreciated the organization and clarity of Foundation Connect. It's given me a process flow and has helped me in task management as I step into my role as Grantmaker. I like the fact that we're able to tailor it to what's needed for each of the staff members! I'm looking forward to delving deeper into the ins and outs of Foundation Connect and Salesforce in general--great tools to streamline the work!

Easy to use!

I have been using foundationConnect for a couple years now as our grants management database, after making the switch from a very old version of GIFTS. We store all of our grantees' organization information, plus requests, payments, contacts and grantee reports, and it couldn't be easier to access that information. We have just started using the online grants portal (Communities) for our grantees to apply and submit grantee reports, and have received excellent feedback from our grantees who have used it. It's a very user-friendly system. We're very happy with it!

Foundation Connect - User Friendly and Easy to Learn

I began using Foundation Connect about six months ago. I have no previous experience with grant software and had used Salesforce minimally in my former position. It was very easy for me to learn how to enter grants, reports and payments in Salesforce. I love the Views feature to easily track our payments and grantee reports. I have not yet had to contact the support team, but am hopeful that they will be as responsive as other reviewers have noted.

Excellent Grant Management Tool

We have been using foundationConnect since 2013 and have no regrets! Every part of our grant making process has been streamlined and the system is used by all our staff and board members - easily customized to meet the needs of various users. The flexibility and extensive options of foundationConnect/Salesforce has made it super easy to adjust and expand our processes and data collection as the Foundation's needs evolve, capturing information not only for our grant making but also for data analytics used in our strategic planning.

foundationConnect Understands Grantmaking

foundationConnect (fC) with Salesforce is an outstanding grantmaking and contact management tool (and more). Over the six years we have been using fC, we have significantly improved our service to our applicants and grantees, as well as to our program, communications and finance staff. Our procedures are more streamlined; our systems are integrated; and, with centralized contacts (which can be synced with Outlook), we are able to achieve a 98%+ deliverability rate for our newsletter. Our dashboards, reports and (completely customizable) automated workflow keep us all organized and informed, enabling us to respond more quickly than ever to grant requests. The Salesforce base platform ensures that we have secure global access to all our info (and can take action) from any device, without any downtime. With the thousands of apps available and constantly being developed for Salesforce, we are also able to add on and integrate tools such as: project management; instructional documentation; secure e-signatures; targeted mass mailings; and merge docs in email, Word and Excel. It's also a guarantee that the product will continue to be well supported and regularly improved. We have enjoyed working with fC staff, who are dedicated, helpful and responsive. While they continuously improve the product and documentation, we look forward to fixes/features that address some of the smaller but persistent needs we have. We remain confident this will happen, now that roundCorner has assumed control of the product and proved to be very capable partners. Happy we made the switch to fC.

Straightforward Grant Application Management

FoundationConnect harnesses all the power and ease of the Salesforce platform and is super user-friendly, easy to setup and maintain. All of our applications now reside in one place, with supporting material attached to each record! The support team is very responsive, and the FC NYC User Group is really active and friendly. I've learned a lot by seeing how our peer organizations use FC and Salesforce. Highly recommended for application management.

Great tool that your entire organization will have reasons to use on a regular basis!

FoundationConnect has high quality features, high quality performance, comfortable to use, and the degree that it can be enhanced to meet each organization’s unique needs is immeasurable.Our staff understands how the system can bring added value to what they do. Many of our customizations have been driven by needs and requests from staff! It is a very intuitive system for staff to use as well. The User Interface and search engine are similar to what people utilize in today’s world. Adding a level of comfort for staff to independently navigate through the system. Also, there are a number of reports that help foundations remain well-informed of upcoming or outstanding grantee reports and payments due. We have the ability to schedule the distribution of these dashboards and reports to be automatically sent via foundationConnect to selected staff on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. With this feature the grants manager is relieved of having to manually send regularly produced reports to staff. The management and knowledge of our entire grant lifecycle and beyond has become a much easier and rewarding process with foundtionConnect!

Robust grantmaking tool

With the help of Sputnik Moment, we implemented FoundationConnect three years ago and never looked back. I worked with a competing grantmaking database at a previous job, and I can't stress what a better product FoundationConnect is. It's easily customizable, it's user friendly, and it's constantly being improved based upon customer feedback. I would highly recommend it.

Great tool to manage the full grantmaking process

Foundation Connect is a very user friendly, highly customizable solution to manage the grantmaking process from start to finish. Support for users is great—almost all of my questions are answered and resolved within 24 hours. The online portal streamlines the application process. The reporting and dashboard functionality available from this app integrating with the Salesforce platform has helped me streamline processes, improve tracking of grants and push critical information out to staff when action is needed. Staff I have worked with really like that between Foundation Connect and Salesforce you can create a very personalized approach to managing a portfolio of grants—moving away from a one-size fits all mindset. In addition, being able to access the Salesforce community for ideas, answers and resources has been invaluable to maximize the Foundation Connect app. I could not imagine managing grants any other way. I have used Foundation Connect at two foundations over the past three years, which included migrating from another grant management database to Foundation Connect.
