Works as advertised
We are a small business just starting to use Salesforce. Though I've used it for almost a decade, I am now the pilot/lead implementer in our fledgling installation. Working in a company that is just graduating from contact management on spreadsheets, this connector to ConstantContact is a good first step to building an automated bridge between the two programs. I have basic needs right now, and this satisfies them. Instead of exporting spreadsheets, I can "upload" to ConstantContact. Having a snapshot of campaign history at the contact level is nice inside Salesforce. I can see looking toward a more advanced integration in the future, but perhaps this one will advance further. This was all done in about an hour. Have to put in a plug for Clint at Cazoomi - appreciate the quick feedback and may look toward the more advanced integration they offer...once I figure out what more I'm looking for!

Very limited functionality
We were really hoping that this app would provide a great interface between Salesforce and Constant Contact. Unfortunately it lacks quite a bit. One of the biggest challenges we've encountered is that you can't upload campaign members directly into Constant Contact. You still need to export the list and manually import it into Constant Contact which means you have to manually update the campaign member status to indicate what action that member took on the email. You also can't run any reports in Salesforce on Constant Contact emails.

Not Lightening Ready!
Is there any plan to release a Lightening Ready version of this app? I tried to contact support with the email address provided on this listing (email@example.com), but the email bounced back. Hopefully someone from Constant Contact can comment on this.

Works when it works
This app works just fine when you leave it alone, and don't change anything about your Constant Contact account; but if you change your login information in Constant Contact, it makes you unable to upload leads. That's reasonable enough, though I wish it had some way of syncing automatically; but the real problem with that is if you tried to upload leads before changing the login information in the plugin, it gets stuck and you are both unable to change your login info and upload any more leads until you uninstall and reinstall the program. And, to uninstall, you have to manually go through the backend of your Salesforce org and remove all its components from anything it might be in, it will not do that for you when you click uninstall; and it actually will not uninstall unless you've already done this. Frustrating. ####Long story short, it is a good app, but if you change anything about your Constant Contact login, you're probably going to encounter some problems.
It's not fair to even call it an App. It is missing basic elements, and seems to have not been updated in years. If you are thinking about using Constant Contact and want it integrated with Salesforce, just don't do it. Constant Contact may be better than Mailchimp on a few things, but this is one area where there is no comparison. As a Salesforce based organization, we literally had to change our entire email service from Constant Contact to Mailchimp, solely because of how terrible this so-called "app" is.
what's your feedback on Mailchimp?
This is surprising as I found the Mailchimp integration with Salesforce awful. We use Vertical Response, which has amazing Salesforce integration but lacks a lot of the reporting capabilities we need and functionally, it's not the greatest. Mailchimp beats VR no problem as a stand-alone service but the integration with Salesforce is truly terrible.

Kinda Works as Advertised
The app works well mostly. As for the reason for a lower rating is that the Campaign History VF Page that you can put on the contact object keeps causing performance issues within our system. Works for awhile then starts taking longer for contacts to load. I am assuming this is due the to volumn of information it pulls back from CC. Once it get too much, we start getting URL no longer Exists errors on our contacts and it makes it impossible to view or edit them as they crash almost as soon as it loads. For smaller companies with fewer mail outs I think this may work well for them.
Constant Contact v2.0 for Salesforce
Won't work presently if using the SalesForce MyDomain feature. It is supposedly a known issue but no one has been able to tell us if and when it will be fixed.
A few bugs
If you are looking for basic functionality this will work. A bit complicated to setup but works. Unfortunately I don’t see that bounces are brought over. This seems like a key feature that should be added as this would allow users of Salesforce to check email contact information when on a sales call. If you see the email bounces during campaign sending you can ask the contact/lead for corrected info. Each user of Salesforce is unlikely to log into Constant Contact to cross reference, isn't this the point of an integration tool, create less work not more. I hope to see this added in future releases. Also the speed of resolving bugs does not seem great. When will the (500) Internal Server Error when uploading contacts which showed up around May 2014 be fixed?
Wendy, I suspected that the bounces would get left in Constant Contact as well. But good news, when you go to your bounces on a campaign report in Constant Contact, you have the option of viewing all the different bounce options. Make sure that "recommended for removal" is selected and then choose to remove them from your Constant Contact account. Removing them here automatically unsubscribes them as opt out and syncs that back to Salesforce. If you have the opt out function set up and working like in the Constant Contact installation video, it works.####You can also spot check this by downloading the following report: Click contacts, then unsubscribed (on left side), select all on the list and then choose "Export selected and deleted unsubscribed". This will then download a report that shows the contacts that unsubscribed themselves, as well as the contacts that Constant Contact automatically unsubscribed because you removed them from your account.

NO ASSIGNMENT \r<BR>\r<BR>Licensee may not assign all or any part of its rights or obligations under this EULA to any third party without Licensor’s prior written consent, which Licensor may withhold in its sole discretion. An assignment of the EULA in violation of this Section 11 shall be void and shall immediately terminate all of Licensee’s rights under this EULA. \r<BR>\r<BR>\r<BR>12. MISCELLANEOUS \r<BR>\r<BR>This EULA, together with the Constant Contact Terms and Conditions, constitutes the entire agreement between Licensee and Licensor with respect to the use of the Constant Contact for Salesforce Software and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous understandings or agreements, written or oral, regarding such subject matter. This EULA may be modified or amended only by a writing signed by an authorized representative of Licensor. Sales representatives and distributors of the Constant Contact for Salesforce Software have no authority to alter this EULA. Any provision of this EULA found by a tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be illegal or unenforceable shall be automatically conformed to the minimum requirements of law and all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Waiver of any provision hereof in one instance shall not preclude enforcement of it on future occasions. Headings are for reference purposes only and have no substantive effect.
